2019/2020 House League and LTP Registration

North Toronto Hockey 2019/2020 House League and Learn To Play (LTP) Registration 

 

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment for house league and LTP. 

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, chequing account information available.  Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account from North Toronto Hockey.

Before you click onto the next page, please ensure that you have a document or picture that you can upload that verifies your son/daughter's date of birth.  Example a passport or birth certificate.

As per Hockey Canada, one parent from each family must have completed the Respect in Sport Parent program.  Please make sure that you have taken the time to complete this prior to registration.  Here is the link: http://www.gthlcanada.com/respect-in-sport-parent-program Please note there is a small fee for this course.  North Toronto does not receive any money from this program, as it is a course mandated by Hockey Canada.  If you have completed the course you never need to take it again.  Please make sure all new players have been added to your RIS profile. Completion of this registration does not guarantee your child's acceptance into the league. If we have reached our division capacity, or there is a problem confirming d.o.b, address or eligibility you will be placed on a waitlist.  We will endeavour to keep everyone informed as to the status of registration and waitlist numbers. 

Please remember you can only be registered with one club at a time as per the Hockey Canada rules.


House League Divisions and Fees 

  • I.P6 (2013) $635. 
    • There will be 2 tiers of skill levels: " House League " and "IP6 CDS" (formally Select).
    • Games held early morning Saturday at North Toronto Arena.
    • Skills – House League at De La Salle Arena at 10am. IP6 CDS at De La Salle on Thursdays at 5pm.
  • Minor Novice (2012) $635 
    • There will be 2 tiers of skill levels: " House League " and "CDS" (formally Select)
    • Games will be held Saturday afternoon at North Toronto Arena for both House League and CDS. 
    • House League skills sessions are on Sunday morning at Upper Canada College Arena or De La Salle Arena 
    • CDS skill session are on Monday evening at Forest Hill Arena.
  • Novice (2011) $635 
    • There will be 2 tiers of skill levels: " House League " and “CDS" (formally Select).
    • Games will be held Saturday afternoon at North Toronto Arena for both House League and CDS.
    • House League skills will be held late morning on Sundays at Upper Canada College Arena.
    • CDS skill sessions are on Mondays evening at Forest Hill Arena. 
  • Minor Atom/Atom (2009/2010) $635
    • Games will be held Sunday mornings at North Toronto Arena.
    • Teams will be a mix of House League players and Select players.
  • Minor PeeWee/Peewee (2007/2008) $635. 
    • Games will be held Sunday afternoon at North Toronto Arena.
    • Teams will be a mix of House League players and Select players.
  • Minor Bantam/Bantam (2005/2006) $635
    • Games will be held Saturday morning at De La Salle Arena.
    • Teams will be a mix of House League players and Select players.
  • Midget (2002/2003/2004) $500.00
    • Games all played Sunday afternoon at De La Salle Arena.
    • Teams will be a mix of Minor Midget, Midget Jr and Midget Sr players and will have a balance of House League and Select.

 

Learn to Play Division and Fees

 

  1. All full season classes $635.
  2. Classes start mid October and run until the end of March.
  3. Players must be comfortable on the ice with the instructors, and not their parent.
  4. LTP programs are for players born 2015/2014/2013/2012, for both LTP 1 and LTP 2.
  5. Players must wear full equipment.

 

  1. Friday at De La Salle Arena
    • Learn to Play 1 at 5pm
    • Learn to Play 1 and 2 at 6pm
  2. Saturday at North Toronto Arena
    • Learn to Play 1 9:10am and 11am
    • Learn to Play 2 10am and 11:50am
  3. Sunday at North Toronto Arena
    • Learn to Play 1 at 11:20am
    • Learn to Play 1 and 2 at 12:10pm

 

WHAT ARE THE LTP LEVELS?

Learn to Play 1

  • For new players introduced to the game of hockey - No hockey experience.
  • Should have a bit of skating experience – Able to get up and down on their own, and walking or striding slowly around the ice.
  • First time or very little experience with a hockey stick and full equipment.
  • Each week 40-minute skills followed by last 10 minutes of scrimmage.

Learn to Play 2

  • Already completed one year of LTP 1 or other similar experience.
  • Full year of skating and are comfortably striding around the ice with hockey equipment.
  • Have skating experience with a hockey stick, and able to carry the puck up and down the ice.
  • First Half of Season - 40 minutes of skills followed by 10 minutes of scrimmage.
  • Second Half of Season – 25 minutes skills / 25 minutes scrimmage

Houseleague teams do not have tryouts, and there is no requirement to sign-up for tryouts -- only that you are registered for houseleague. 


Refund Policy

 

Players wishing to withdraw from the program must do so in writing either through email to the registrar only.

If the player is not accepted due to the program being full you will receive a full refund. All players will be offered the opportunity to be placed on the waitlist, but no refunds will be provided until an official request to withdraw is made directly to the registrar.

  • Prior to July 31, players may withdraw and receive a refund less a $100.00 admin fee. 

  • Players will not receive any refund starting August 1st - unless there is a wait list and we can replace your player. If your player is replaced by September 1st, then above policy applies.

If you register a player for the first time for the 2019/20 season after August 1st, and then wish to withdraw anytime after, you will not receive a refund unless your spot has been filled by Sept 1st.  If your spot has been filled with another player by Sept. 1st. we will issue a refund minus the $100.00 admin fee.

Select/CDS Players that have ACCEPTED a spot with a North Toronto Select/CDS team (or who have ACCEPTED an invitation to a Red, Green or White team tryout) and then want to be released at any time after, will not receive any refund on their HL registration fees.

(For players who withdraw from North Toronto and have attended at least one try-out for Select/CDS but have not been offered a spot may receive a refund on HL fees equal to their HL fee less a $100.00 admin fee after April 11th. They will not receive a refund if they withdraw after Aug.1st)

As per Hockey Canada, you may only register for one club at a time. If you have registered for more than one association and decide to withdraw from NT, the above rules apply.  If you are eligible for a refund you will be charged the $100.00 admin. fee.
